The format is an IndividualGross and Net tournament played within flight. This event is open to Members and Guests with a current active GHIN handicap. February 1,2019 handicaps will be used.
Optional Gross and Net skins will be available for $5 Gross and $5 Net and calculated across the full field. Closest To The Pin is included in the Individual Gross & Net entry fee. If you are registering online please indicate in the Notes toTournament Director field your skins choice if choosing onlyGross or Net.
Club Match PlayChampionship Flight Qualifier:
This event will also serve as the qualifier for those members who want to participate in the ClubMatch Play Championship Flight Bracket. Players in the Championship Flight compete at scratch without handicap. Handicaps are applied in all other flights.
Match play begins Saturday February 23, 2019 with the second round on Sunday Feb. 24th and third round on Saturday March 2nd.
If you are entering on line and wish to play in Championship Flight Bracket Qualifier please state that in the Tournament Director Notes when you enter. You must also enter the Match Play Championship separately on line or by filling out an entry form in the Encanto Pro Shop
The qualifier is only mandatory for members who want to play in the Match Play Championship Flight Bracket .
All Club Match Play brackets are open to Members only. Those members who do not wish to compete in the Championship Flight do not have to participate in this Individual G/N event.
How the Qualifier works: Seeding for the Match PlayChampionship Flight Bracket will be available to the top seven players in order of gross score, who have declared their intentions to play in the MatchPlay Championship Flight Bracket . Ties for the final spot will be broken by an on-course playoff if players are present or by scorecard playoff if they are not present. Any Play-off will occur at the conclusion of the Individual Gross and Net Event.
The Reigning Match Play Club Champion receives an automatic exemption to play in the Championship flight and will receive the number 1 seed in the Championship Flight Bracket. In the event that the reigningClub Champion choses not to play or waives his exemption, then the first alternate in the qualifier will become the 8th player in the Championship bracket.
Tournament Instructions:
Please arrive at least 40 minutes prior to your tee-time and check in at both the Encanto Pro Shop and the Men's Club table in Mulligan's Restaurant whether or not you have paid your entry fee.
Pro Shop requires Green Fee payment.
Skins will be paid out over the complete field.
This event is mandatory only for members who are playing in the Match Play Championship Flight Bracket. You may sign up separately to play in the other Match Play brackets even if you do not play this event. Please fill out a Match Play Entry Form so we know you are playing in the Match Play. You will be seeded according to your handicap in the appropriate bracket.
ALL MATCH PLAY PARTICIPANTS MUST FILL OUT THE MATCH PLAY ENTRY FORM OR ENTER THE MATCH PLAY EVENT SEPARATELY ON LINE.
